Shealor Lake

Shealor%20Lake%20CA.JPG
Located between the San Francisco Bay and Lake Tahoe,
this snow-melt lake is as secluded as a fortress; behind the camera is a steep ridge line, the only access.

At night we reclined on warm rocks.
Sometimes things just click - the night sky was clear and there was a massive meteor shower.
All night we watched falling stars, over 150 per hour.
Did we swim? - Of course!
Did we enjoy? - We felt lucky.
Where is this pristine lake of blissful solitude? - tell you later. (After we go a few more times - alone)

A beauty.
Look at that blue sky reflecting in the chrome.
The fine details include notched etching on the cursive font.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever (hmm, who originally said that? Harley Earl?)

This is the car we used in the photo shoot for The South Magazine, not a bad toy for us to goof around with while on a quest for the best BBQ in the land.

It's a living . . .

Forsythe Fountain is now green

It's a big week in Savannah G-A.
St Pattys is on Friday and they're kicking off the celebration with green dye in one of their fountains. It's a high noon meet and greet, fun for Grandpa O'Kelly to pontificate for the kids. Groups of school kids in school uniforms punched out their songs. They were clearly well drilled on their performance.
We stopped by, said hi, grabbed a sandwich and chips and enjoyed warm March weather.
